Functions in Microsoft Dataverse

With the Microsoft announcement of Code view in Power Apps Studio, developers can not view and use the source code in YAML format and Power FX format. This allows selection of particular controls and see the YAML code that makes up that control
Until recently, there would be a certain subset of functions were you would need to enter the names of the column within double quotes. Starting with the latest version of Canvas Studio (version 3.24042), there will be a syntax change as to how the column names will be displayed within function arguments.

Although cards for Power Apps were made Generally Available in March 2023, they were not available from within solutions, which made the deployment process more complex. Last week, on November 2nd, Microsoft announced that Cards for Power Apps have become solution aware.
The AAD Users virtual table that was added to Dataverse has been a lifesaver for a lot of applications, especially when using Power Apps licensing as they provide the full subset of Active Directory users. When using Power Apps licensing, not all users are automatically synched to the Users table, so that is a great addition.
On March 8, Microsoft made an additional announcement that Cards for Power Apps can be sent automatically via flows using a new connector and an updated Teams connector. The cards authoring experience has also been improved making it easier to design cards that fit our business needs.

A couple of weeks ago, Microsoft announced the availability of displaying dialog boxes using the Power Fx function for modern Commanding. This new functionality provides the ability to have your Modern commanding component library show custom dialog boxes that can be customized to your needs, and respond to user action with Power FX.
