Although cards for Power Apps were made Generally Available in March 2023, they were not available from within solutions, which made the deployment process more complex. Last week, on November 2nd, Microsoft announced that Cards for Power Apps have become solution aware.
This new change allows makers to create Power Apps from within their solution or add them to their solution making them solution aware and available as part of their application lifecycle management (ALM) process. Card access can also be managed via Security roles and Data loss prevention (DLP) policies.
Select Add existing, you can choose the card, and from the Add existing card window you can select a card that is part of another solution or a card that is not solution aware and add them to your solution. If you need to create a new card, click on the New button and select card. This will create a new Card app for you where you can start working and design your Card for Power Apps.
The card role privilege allows administrators to determine if users should have access to create, read or update card in the card table. If this is removed for users, this would cause user not to have access to Cards for Power Apps in that particular environment.
