Focused views, which was originally introduced as part of the Dynamics 365 Sales app allows viewing and managing records and their associated activities on a single page. It provides the ability to not navigate back and forth between screens.
Microsoft provides new and updated features for model-driven apps on a regular basis. Until recently, those feature updates were rolled out in two release waves called the semi-annual release waves, which is the default setting for all of the existing apps and environments.
Today, Wednesday, December 14th, 2024m Microsoft announced the preview of blocking unmanaged customizations in your environments. This new feature will prevent users from making unmanaged changes in the test and production environments as well as restrict the import of unmanaged solutions into production.
A while back (April of last year) Microsoft introduced the concept of Virtual PCF components. Although there are a lot of benefits of using this new type of component adoption does not seem to be too high. When looking at the components that are available in the pcf gallery for example, the majority of the components are still Standard
In the last week or so, depending on your region, you might have encountered some changes in the way Security roles are accessed from the Power Platform Admin Center. While this seems to be available at this time in most Geographies, some of them might still be missing.
Yesterday (January 25, 2023), Microsoft release their plans for Microsoft Dynamics 2023 Release Wave 1. These release plans are available in various formats and can be accessed on the Microsoft Learn site, the Microsoft Release Planner or can be downloaded as PDFs.
When we need to create Proof of Concepts, test products that we need to implement for our projects and or provide demos to our clients, at many times consultants and even partners use demo environments and products provided by Microsoft (and other organizations) in order to assist them in these cases.
Collaboration seems to have been on Microsoft’s roadmap for some time now, and with the updates to the Power Platform in the 2022 Wave 1 Release Plan, there are a few enhancements in this collaboration space for Model Driven apps. In this post, I will go over some of these enhancements and demonstrate how this functionality is used and displayed in your dataverse environment.
The Advanced Find features in the Microsoft Dynamics and the Power Platform has gone back since the inception of the product, and not many changes have been done throughout the years. We have seen some of the plans in the last release with table level filtering, but with the upcoming release of the Power Platform 2022 Release Wave 1, the Advanced Find is getting a makeover.
